TERENGGANU MARATHON 2027 (TM27) – RULES & REGULATIONS

All participants are required to carefully read and understand the following rules and regulations. By registering for Terengganu Marathon 2027 (“the Event”), each participant (and where applicable, the parent/guardian of participants under the age of 18) is deemed to have read, understood, accepted, and agreed to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

The Event is organised by [Kelab Olahraga Alam Sinergi] (“the Organiser”). It will take place in 2027 at Stadium Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, Kuala Terengganu (“the Venue”). The Organiser reserves the right to change the date, venue, or cancel the event at any time.

Personal Data Protection & Consent

By registering, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal data by the Organiser and its partners for purposes including (but not limited to):

• Event administration and communication
• Marketing, promotional communications
• Planning and statistical analysis
• Delivery of event-related entitlements

The Organiser may appoint third parties (within or outside Malaysia) to process this data and such third parties are contractually bound to maintain data confidentiality.

Participants may withdraw their consent at any time before the event, in which case, they will be considered as having withdrawn from the event.

The Organiser will take reasonable measures to secure personal data. Disclosure to third parties will only occur where legally required or for event operation purposes.

Event Participation Policy

2.1 The Event is open to both Malaysians and international participants.

2.2 Age eligibility (as of 2027):

Participants below the age of 12 in the 5KM Fun Run must be accompanied by a registered adult (18 years and above).

2.3 Malaysian category is only open to Malaysian citizens and residents with valid MyKad, passport, or long-term permits.

Registration Terms

3.1 Registration must be completed via the official registration platform.
3.2 All information provided must be accurate and complete. The Organiser reserves the right to reject entries with false or incomplete information.
3.3 Each participant is allowed multiple entries. Category changes and transfers are allowed after confirmation until registration closes.
3.4 Registration is confirmed only upon issuance of a confirmation email. Any discrepancies must be reported within five (5) working days.
3.5 All fees paid are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable, regardless of reason.
3.6 Registration closes in 2027 or when the maximum number of participants is reached.

Race Kit Collection

4.1 Race kits include:

• Event t-shirt (subject to availability)
• Race bib with timing chip (for 10KM, 21KM, 42KM only)

4.2 Race kit collection will take place at Stadium Tertutup Sultan Mizan prior to the event date. Participants must bring valid ID and confirmation email.

4.3 All race kits must be collected before the designated cut-off time. Uncollected kits will be considered forfeited.

4.4 For delivery (if selected), participants will only receive the t-shirt and bib. No sponsored items will be delivered. Second delivery attempts will be at participants’ expense.

Event Rules & Conduct

5.1 Participants must wear the official race bib at all times during the race.
5.2 The Organiser reserves the right to alter race routes or cancel categories due to safety, weather, or operational reasons.
5.3 No personal support vehicles, bicycles, skates, pets, or wheeled objects are permitted unless authorised.
5.4 Participants must follow instructions from event officials.
5.5 Participation is at one’s own risk. The Organiser is not liable for injury, death, or loss.

Cut-Off Times & Timing Policy

Participants who fail to meet cut-off times may be disqualified.

Timing is based on Gun Time. Only eligible finishers will receive medals, e-certificates, and prizes.

Insurance Coverage

All participants will be covered under Group Personal Accident (GPA) insurance:

Terengganu Marathon 2027 is covered under a Public Liability Insurance policy. This coverage includes compensation for death and medical expenses arising from accidents caused by the negligence of the event organizer, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

The total sum insured for any claim is up to RM300,000.

Winners & Prize Eligibility

• Winners determined by Gun Time
• Net Time for general ranking
• One participant eligible for one prize only
• Valid ID required
• Prize payout within 30 to 60 days

Certificates, Medals & Trophies

• Finisher medals for qualified participants
• E-certificates available within 7 to 14 days
• Trophies for podium winners

Media Release & Intellectual Property

The Organiser reserves the right to use participant images and videos for promotional purposes without compensation.

Virtual Run (If Applicable)

• Must be completed in one continuous run
• No refunds or changes
• Proof submission required
• Delivery within 14 working days
• Participation at own risk

Liability & Waiver

Participation is at the participant’s own risk. By registering, participants waive all claims against the Organiser and partners.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Rules & Regulations at any time.

All matters are subject to the Organiser’s final decision.

This document shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
