RULES & REGULATIONS

Event Organizer
The Terengganu Marathon (here in after referred to as “TM” or “the Event”) is organized, promoted, and owned by the Alam Sinergi Resources.

Eligibility
Any individual, regardless of nationality, is eligible to participate if they meet the minimum age requirement on the race day for the following categories:

42KM Full Marathon: 18 years old and above
21KM Half Marathon: 16 years old and above
10KM Run: 15 years old and above
5KM Fun Run: 7 years old and above

Participants below the age of 18 years are required to obtain parental/guardian consent and complete the relevant indemnity declaration form as deemed necessary by the Organizer. Participants who fail to comply will be denied entry.

Registration & Payment
Registration is only confirmed upon successful payment and issuance of a race identification number.

All registration fees and courier charges for race kits are subject to tax where applicable.
No refund policy: Once registration is processed, there will be no refund for cancellations for any reason.

Participant Responsibilities
Participants agree to provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information during registration. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or suspend registrations with inaccurate or incomplete details without refund.

Event Cancellation Policy
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Event under unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:

Force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters).
Public safety or health concerns.

In such cases, no refunds will be provided, and the Organizer will not be liable for any losses or inconvenience caused.

Amendments to Event
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the race route, schedule, or format for safety or other reasons. Participants will be informed of such changes where possible.

Participant Safety

All participants take part at their own risk.
The Organizer will not be responsible for any injuries, health issues, or deaths arising from participation in the Event. Participants are advised to consult a doctor before registering.

Bibs and Identification

Bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt and visible at all times during the race.
Participants without bibs or failing to comply with bib requirements will be disqualified.

Cut-Off Times
The Event has the following cut-off times, after which roads will be reopened to the public:

42KM Full Marathon: 7 hours
21KM Half Marathon: 4 hours
10KM Run: 2 hours


Participants failing to reach checkpoints within the stipulated time will be asked to board the sweeper vehicle provided by the Organizer.

Use of Media
By participating, participants agree to the Organizer’s rights to use their images, videos, or event footage for promotional purposes without compensation.

Awards & Prizes

Prizes are subject to the Organizer’s discretion and are non-transferable.
Participants must finish within the cut-off time to be eligible for medals and Finisher T-shirts (applicable to 42KM and 21KM categories).
Uncollected prizes will be forfeited after 3 days from the Event date.

Prohibited Items

Pets, bicycles, skates, and other wheeled objects are strictly prohibited unless approved in writing by the Organizer.

General Conduct

Participants must not transfer or sell their race entries.
Participants must not start before the official flag-off or 15 minutes after their category’s start time.

Race Start Times
The Event will begin as follows:

42KM Full Marathon: 12:30 AM
21KM Half Marathon: 2:15 AM
10KM Run: 5:30 AM
5KM Fun Run: 8:00 AM

Race Pack Collection

Race packs will be distributed 3 days before the Event at the designated venue.
Participants are responsible for collecting their race packs. No race packs will be distributed on the Event day.
